at school i sometimes get find it hard to tell if some one is genuinely trying to be my friend or taking the mickey
how can you tell who is being genuinely friendly and who is not
Answer It can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference but a genuine person would be there for you come what may.
If someone is only around when something good is happening eg parties, fun days then they may not be genuine. If they are there when you are alone or unhappy or just doing homework then they probably are genuine.
If someone teases you and makes you uncomfortable or embarrassed they are probably taking the Mickey. Don't react or they will get their kicks from causing you discomfort.
